NTNS Tribute on BWDD – October 27, 2017

Please join me for another journey into the netherworld of ambient and electronic music.

This week I have a special treat for you.  In celebration of Halloween, I’ll be doing a tribute to the legendary net radio show of old:  NTNS Radio.

For those of you who are unaware, NTNS Radio (NTNS standing for “Not The Normal Sh*t”), was a brilliant program put on by Mark Stolk of Mystahr, a show that focused on the experimental, electro-acoustic, dark, and noisy side of ambience.  The music was unusual, exotic, and often challenging to the listener, which was one of its primary charms.  Mark’s taste in the eclectic was unparalleled, and his programs were not to be missed, especially for those who enjoy abstract ambience, experimental electronics, and the like.

So tonight I’ll be playing selections that have been played on NTNS Radio, from Mark’s hand-picked “Best Of” releases on archive.org.  In addition, there will be a live Ambient Train Wreck, where I do my very best to put on a performance that Mark would have been proud of.  Bring your Halloween costume and get ready for an evening of music that goes bump in the night.

The show begins at 7 PM US Pacific / 10 PM US Eastern / Midnight UTC.  Hope to see you there …
