This week on Blue Water Drive Dive, we’re going long. No, not in a football sense. I’m talking about the longplayer, the quintessential expression of ambient breadth and depth, the journey through sound with sufficient duration to allow the listener to become fully immersed in the music, fully embedded in the journey. In its most perfect form, a longplayer is less a piece of music than an experience, something to be lived – not merely something to be heard.
With this in mind, I’ll be presenting three cherished long pieces from the vast RadioSpiral library, pieces that never fail to take me for a ride through vast halls of goodness.
